ABOUT SKC ELECTRICAL SERVICE
S.K.C. Electrical Service, Inc. is a full-service electrical company and a Generac Dealer in Southeastern
North Carolina. S.K.C. specializes in Home Standby generator sales, service, warranty and monitoring.
S.K.C. is owned by Shane and Angela Clifton. Shane is a Wilmington native and has worked over 40 years in the electrical industry. He holds an Unlimited Electrical License and is a Generac Power Pro Elite Plus Dealer. Shane is also a founding member of the Cape Fear Electrical Contractor’s Association and serves on the Board of the Association. Angela specializes in the financial side of the business, holding a BBA in Business Management & Organizational Development.
During his 40+ year career, Shane has performed many types of electrical work including commercial, industrial and residential applications. He enjoys the residential and small commercial work the most because he enjoys the customer interaction. In the residential space, he specializes in custom residential homes. In this market, he helps customers design the electrical and lighting applications that showcase their home.
In 2008, Shane became a Generac dealer. Living in Southeastern North Carolina, he became increasingly aware of our market’s need for backup power – specifically using Generac’s Home Standby Generators. S.K.C. is a Generac Power Pro Elite Plus Dealer, installing hundreds of generators each year in Southeastern North Carolina.

ABOUT SKC ELECTRICAL SERVICE
We also take pride in the skill and commitment of our team. Our management team has been with S.K.C. for over 10 years. The staff on our generator team are Generac certified technicians. Each has attended multiple in-person, hands-on training classes and seminars. Further, they are re-certified by Generac each year to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest news and technology available for your Generac Generator. Our electricians have their Journeyman’s card, meaning they have over 2,000 hours of electrical work in the field.
We also take pride in investing in the community. In addition to being a member/Board Member of the Cape Fear Electrical Contractor’s Association, S.K.C. also supports Cape Fear Community College’s Electrical Apprentice Program. Over the years, we have hired multiple apprentices from the Program – helping them begin a career in the electrical service industry.
While Shane and Angela pour much of their energy into their business and employees, they also enjoy other activities. Shane volunteers his electrical skills on various building projects and also teaches electrical safety. Additionally, they share their home with 4 Siberian Huskies. Aside from loving their wonderful pets, Shane and Angela also participate in various dog sports with their Siberians, including Conformation and Fast CAT. Shane and Angela are both members of the Central North Carolina Siberian Husky Club, where Angela also serves as the Treasurer and on the Board.
